My Story

In 2013, my husband and two small boys immigrated from South Africa leaving behind our family and friends; everything we've ever known.

Moving from a third world country to a first world country was eye opening - Australia welcomed us in every way possible and I've had the immense pleasure of working across various industries spanning family and community services, financial services, disability, retail and child protection. With commonalities across many of these organisations, the one standout for me was being involved in an organisation that embraced leadership with "heart" and placed the client at the centre of everything it did. DCC models this and with such an inspiring, dynamic and future-thinking team,  DCC is a place I can call home.

My background in People & Culture spans 20+ years with tertiary education in law, industrial psychology, human resources, adult education and training as well as leadership. All these qualifications have helped drive my success in the people arena focusing on optimising business performance. As Simon Sinek says "Courageous leaders are the ones that are willing to sacrifice the short-term in order to advance the long-term."

Whilst my roots will always be in Africa and African I will always be, one thing for sure will never change... my absolute passion for people and having belief in what they can achieve beyond their own confidence.
